ServeGlobal

Pathways Church seeks to provide opportunities to serve in both the local and international communities. Our mission is to help people become passionate, devoted followers of Jesus Christ through wholistic acts of service, both locally and internationally, in a spirit of partnership and submission.

As one of our five core purposes, Pathways Church views serving as integral to living a life of faith. We offer a variety of serving opportunities - ranging from one-time to long-term commitments - to help meet the needs of the community.

What Will I Do On the Field?

You can be a part of team from Pathway’s who will be helping construct a water tank with community leaders for the children of Nyabikiri, Rwanda.  Rain water harvesting has long been recognized as a viable and cost-effective means of accessing water for rural communities in Africa. Water tanks raise awareness of the benefits of water collection in communities and individual households. The tanks provide water for school children and children do not have to miss school because they have to fetch water. They are also sustainable and have a long life span.

The team will also be providing training and resources to the teachers, pastors, and other community leaders in the district at the new community center in Nyabikiri.  In the evenings, the team will go on several home visits and spend time with the children providing VBS and a sports camp. On our free day’s we will visit the Genocide Memorial and Akagera Game Reserve.
