Meals That Matter

What are Meals that Matter Groups?

These are groups that meet for six or eight consecutive weeks depending on the season. These groups are for people who want to connect with other people in the Pathways Church community who live in/near their neighborhood. These groups are for people who are not interested in committing to a growth group (growth groups are groups of people committed to each other for an extended period of time in hopes of growing spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally through the process of sharing in each others lives) but would like to get to know other people in the Pathways Church community.

What do Meals that Matter Groups do?

These groups meet together weekly in someone's home, share a potluck meal, share life stories and experiences, and get to know each other. The meals are lead by a host or co-host that facilitate the conversation and organize the meals.

What do they talk about in these groups?

Each group is unique but hopefully over the six to eight weeks each group will have listened to one another's stories better understand each others' spiritual journeys.

Who is in each group?

Groups are formed around neighborhoods and are composed of people who live in/near these neighborhoods. Just as neighborhoods are composed of different kinds of people so these groups are composed of different kinds of people. This is a great place to meet people who live in/near your neighborhood.

When do these groups meet?

These groups meet weekly for six or eight consecutive weeks. We offer Meals that Matter three times per year. Typically these meals happen Feb-March, June-July, and Mid-Sept - Mid-Nov.

What happens when the groups are over?

Some groups continue to meet regularly and some irregularly. Some people join growth groups or become a Meals that Matter host.
